I love Autumn, it has to be one of my favourite seasons! Autumnal fashion has to be my favourite too. We start to see the darker colours, cosy knitwear, tartan prints and chunky boots! Warm coats are my absolute fave pieces in autumn time.
There have been some absolutely stunning outerwear releases this year. In this post I am going to show you my top choices to up your outerwear game whilst keeping you cosy and trendy. It’s the perfect combination, right? Here we go!
Warm coats for the autumnal weather
The teddy coat
The teddy coats have come back in full swing this Autumn! They are everywhere right now. A few of my current faves I have seen floating around are this Boohoo teddy aviator, PLT pink teddy coat and this Warehouse long teddy coat.
These coats are just so cosy and warm, but also really on trend this season. You can’t go wrong!
The cord jacket
The cord trend seemed to just appear from nowhere, but damn I love it. I bought a pair of Primark cord mom style jeans in a rust colour the other day and I am already obsessed! I am yet to own a cord jacket, but boy is it on my fashion wishlist!
A few of my current faves are this Monki cord trucker, Urban Outfitters grey cord puffer and this beautiful cord coat with faux shearling from Pull and Bear. I can’t see cord going out of trend anytime soon!
The tartan edit
Tartan always seems to make a reappearance around October time, but I’m not mad at it! I feel like different colour tartan comes in and out of fashion, and this season I am really feeling the vibes of yellow, red and blue.
Blazers and suits in general have become a big trend over the past few months. I do wonder whether I could get away with the whole business suit vibe, but I do want to give it a go. I am especially loving the checked blazers (I have a slight obsession with anything checked this season).
Animal print vibes
One of the biggest trends over the past few months, animal print! I have been loving that it’s in style, and now it’s colder, animal print jackets have come into style. This Missguided leopard trench is such a standout piece, I am obsessed! I am also loving snakeskin, one of my faves this season being this slightly pricey asos red number. But I mean, it speaks for itself, I am in love.
I hope you may have found some new autumn warm coats to fill your wardrobe with! Do you have any Autumn jackets in your collection yet? Let me know in the comments!
