As this year draws to a close, I thought I would do a round up of my favourite and most used beauty products from this year!
#1 Carmex lip balm – This is my all time favourite lip balm, it’s so moisturising and has an amazing smell!
#2 Lush rub rub rub shower scrub – I only recently started using this product but I love it! It’s probably not ideal for drier skin types as it’s not the most gentle, but it works brilliant for me as my skin is more oily, it really helps with dry knees, elbows and feet. I usually use this once a week.
#3 John Frieda frizz ease serum – For someone like me with very curly and frizzy hair, this product is a lifesaver! I use it after washing my hair in the shower and towel drying it so it isn’t soaking wet, and run a few pumps of the product through the ends of my hair. It stops the majority of the frizz, I love it!
#4 Nivea body lotion – I use this lotion after the shower, as I find my skin gets very dry after showering! A little goes a long way and it holds the moisture in my skin so well, would recommend for dry and combination skin.
#5 Simple kind to skin micellar cleansing water – I have previously mentioned this product in my current skincare regime as the best makeup remover I’ve used! It doesn’t sting my eyes and it effectively removes all makeup and leaves my skin squeaky clean.
#6 Benefit Ka-Brow, BROWVO! conditioning eyebrow primer, and 24 hour brow setter clear brow gel – These 3 products have been a miracle for my eyebrows this year. I have very thin and blonde eyebrows, and I’ve never really focused on buying brow products until this year. The conditioning primer has done absolute wonders, I apply it before the ka-brow and before bed if I remember, and it’s really helped to thicken my brows and make them appear more naturally bold. Ka-brow is a great brow product, it has a creamy texture which has worked brilliant for me, as I’ve never really got on with eyebrow pencils. It gives a nice bold colour and it lasts all day! Finally, the setter gel works brilliant for keeping the product in place, can honestly say it doesn’t move all day! Benefit, you’re acing the brow game.
#7 Urban Decay Naked 3 palette – I swear I use this palette nonstop, it’s amazing. The pigment of the colour is so good and all the shadows blend so well, you can create so many looks from this one palette! Will always stay a favourite in my makeup collection.
#8 The Body Shop seaweed pore cleansing exfoliator – This product was also mentioned in my recent skincare routine post, it’s a dream exfoliator for us oily skinned and breakout prone girls! It’s gentle on the skin and smells amazing, I use it once a week and it leaves my skin so soft.
#9 Maybelline The Eye Eraser – This product was definitely a dark horse for me, I didn’t expect much from it, but here it is on my 2017 beauty favourites! The sponge end makes application of the concealer easy and it glides on nicely. I usually first put a more orange concealer under my eyes (to combat my extremely purple under eyes!) and then finish with this to lighten the orange tone. I love this product and will continue to use it into the next year!
#10 Benefit POREfessional shine control – Finally, this little beauty! (I’m sorry I know this photo isn’t like the others but my phone decided to delete mine). This powder works wonders for my oily skin, and keeps it matte for the majority of the day. I admit it doesn’t last for a full day, but a top up during the day usually does it!
Well thank you so much for reading lovelies, It’s also quite exciting that this is my first blog post with my original photos in (yay!). I know they aren’t the most fantastic quality, but I left my camera at my uni accommodation (oops). The photo quality will improve when I’m back in the new year and have access to my camera, promise!
Have a brilliant day and I will speak to you all very soon!
